Rick will hopefully be sitting down with Glynn Phillips, owner of Sacramento's Rubicon Brewing Company, to discuss this new beer festival in Northern California.  Till then, here's the basic info.

The Raley Field Brewfest will feature over 30 of the best breweries from throughout Northern California, and include live music. One ticket is valid for up to 10 tastings. Additional tastings can be purchased on-site.

Bear Republic Racer 5

Working with Deschutes Brewery and Vino's Wine & Cheese we put on a party to celebrate the latest Bond Street Series beer - Hop Henge Imperial IPA.  We interview Deschutes reps, guests and anyone who steps up to the mic.

In this episode we sample the first offerings of the 2007 Buzzsaw Brown and the Hop Henge - both Deschutes beers.  We finish the night with Hopsickle, by Moylans.

Rick had the opportunity to chat a bit with Alan Shapiro, one of the three people behind Reunion, a beer for hope, and owner of SBS Imports.  The interview discusses the beer and the cause - procedes of this beer go to support the Institute of Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research (IMBCR), in efforts to help friend and former Pete's Brewing employee, Virginia.

The beer is an organic "imperial" brown ale, brewed in Northern California by Bison Brewery (Berkeley).
